The RCMCCA was born out of the desire to increase the opportunity of micro scale crawler owners to be able to use their vehicles for competition. The end goal of the RCMCCA is to create an organization that helps promote and grow the hobby and offers people in all areas the chance to come together for friendly competition with other RC enthusiasts.

In researching micro scale crawling across the country we found that there was not a consistent rule set being used. We felt that in order to grow the hobby we should first develop a set of rules that can be used by any club holding competitions, and by having universal rules, it makes it possible for competitors to build their vehicles to meet the requirements of any RCMCCA-affiliated competition they attend no matter where in the world it may be.
